What is Contemporary?

Hey everyone, been real busy today trying to make up a list of old music that has been made contemporary and as a result I'm partially deaf, hmm that wasn't very smart, was it.

So with the help of Spotify and YouTube I got to work.
I never knew how many covers there were just knocking around on YouTube, although most of the class would just say they're s**t because they're not in the top40 LOL

Here's just one video that I found and instantly loved.
It's by a small band called Azero and is an epic punk cover of The Beatles "Let It Be"

I'm definitely thinking of looking them up just to see what their other music sounds like as I loved this song so much and was planing to cover it myself before I got told that it would just take too long to do for what we were all working towards.

So, more about why I'm currently doing this:
Because I decided it would be a great idea to pick a Diploma to do for the next two years instead of just A-Levels I'm now part of this 'Creative and Media' night where our main goal is to put on a night where we show of what we can do in the Lesson.
"But that sounds easy"
Ahh you may think so but as usual there's a catch, everything has to be a contemporised version of an existing piece of art or music or film (you get the general idea.)
My job was apart from recording a contemporised version of 'Fur Elise' I had to find as much music as I could to play when people were entering at the start of the night.
I've just shown you one of the videos I found so its only right that I show you the rest:

That's what I have at the moment but I need more.
If yo can think of any more that are from the same period in time as The Beatles that have been covered to sound contemporary (more modern) then please let me know because I said in my firs ever blog "I have no common sense" :P

Viral Friday - April Fools MOFO

So today was April Fools day and by far the best joke I'd seen today was when someone had printed out an image of a £20 note and written 'april fools' on the other side. The amount of people who picked it up just made me LOL.

So today being viral Friday I thought instead of just looking at two videos, lets see what YouTube is doing on this random day a hundred years ago. I can't believe it's been so long.
The 'Tube' boffins have been hard at work picking out the best viral clips from 1911 and here's what they have to show for all of their hard work.

The Capital of Freeman

Heyy you guys! Wow today was a mindfuck.

Yeah so if anyone was wondering the title was because we had GCSE English today and there was something about Paris in France,

"Wait, but haven't you already done all of your GCSE's?"

Yes intrepid blog follower I failed English the first time round and now I'm in a re-sit class, I'm ashamed yes.

But anyway...

Today I managed to get an earlier bus home just because it was such a great day i wasn't going to spend an extra hour of it waiting around town for a bus. The Challenge! Day 5

If you're wondering what happened to Day 3 & 4 then I just took some time off from learning the language to deal with some of the HATERZ and also to talk about random things my friends said to me, and they sure are random, in a nice way.

So going straight back to day one and as I said before I basically failed on the first two attempts to learn a second language so third time lucky I guess.
The first thing that struck me was how easy it actually was to pick up although I haven't started learning to write in Hiragana, Katakana, Kanji and Romaji, that's probably where it's going to get real hard. But back to now and 5 days in and things are going well. I've already learnt quite a few phrases which is really good for me I guess as well as the phrase "I'm hungry" which I will need a lot if I go there when I'm older. (Although I don't really know why I'd be going round telling everyone I'm hungry.)

AHAH! The best way to cheer yourself up, loud music and COD :P Yes I play COD haha but I don't own Black Ops. I'm not that sad.

So yeah random bad mood aside I started getting sh*t for apparently 'spamming' on Facebook. Like one small post a day is considered spamming compared to the hundreds of tedious updates on going to get a drink. In my eyes what I do is what facebook was made for, and it works seeing as i get most of my views from there although i have Twitter and of course YouTube if you ever feel like seeing what I get up to in general.

LOL

So today was a 'random' day to say the least, especially the last two hours of school. When we should have been studying and finishing our work we were talking about simply crazy things. One such friend of mine told me about the time when she used to eat batteries.
OK so not 'EAT' batteries but dip them in milk and drink it like that. I know what your thinking, that SH*T is crazy!
We kinda spent half the lesson just trying to understand why anyone would do something like that although she says she was very young when she did it so that makes it ok, right?
That's kind of all we talked about in our two hours of nothingness we had and my friend has told me not to reveal here name for some reason sooo I guess I have to respect that.

The Challenge! Day 2

Heyy everyone!!

Guess what!

I made a video because I couldn't be bothered to type anything much today. :)
This just explains why I'm doing this whole challenge.

So I started learning Japanese and it struck me to how easy is really was, if you follow me either on YouTube or on here then I definitely recommend joining in as I've already learnt quite a bit over the past day.
