BIG CHANGES

Heyy everyone,

Today has been a pretty hectic day and it got me thinking about setting goals but not just goals which make you look good but goals which are within reach of achieving and that got me on to thinking about this blog and what I was hoping to achieve with it. What I'm trying to achieve is to have an audience (as stupid as that seems) and to just show off some of my work BUT I'm unable to do that as right now as I have to get a different blog out every day as well as going through FULL TIME education and believe it or not that's quite a lot.

SO, what I'm going to do is have this blog BUT run it Monday to Friday instead of all week starting from 30th May (Monday). This will hopefully give me time to work on things like my writing and stories which I will add to the blog when I finish them (Hopefully very soon)

I'm still going to keep "Who Is" on Monday and of course "Viral Friday" so don't worry about those.

Viral Friday - Tornado vs. Truck

Heyy everyone,

LOOK AT THIS!
This was the moment in the mid west U.S. that a truck came face-to-face with one of the many tornadoes plaguing the USA at the moment

The driver of the truck (Who was in it at the time!) survived with no serious injuries.

NEW Google Wallet

Heyy everyone,

Oh NOO! Cheryl Cole isn't going to be on the U.S versio - Shut up no one really cares and by that I mean I don't care.

ANYWAY

Do you have a smart phone?
Are you tired of carrying round your bank card EVERYWHERE you go?
Are you looking for a new more inconvenient way of paying for things?

Well Google may have the solution for you. It's called the Google wallet and what it is is another app that lets you simply "Tap, pay & save." The Google Wallet will be compatible with Nexus S 4G but should be available for more phones soon.
Now I'm all for technology moving forward but this just seems to be one of those areas that really doesn't need to change just yet. It's not like having a bank card or credit card is causing any problems and to be honest I don't have a smart phone, I don't know many people that do and the whole idea of adding more and more important things to 1 devise just seems a bit careless if you think about it. Not only do you have to worry about your £300+ phone getting stolen but now you have to worry about your bank going with it.

Dave Days - Down (Cover)

Heyy everyone,

Today I got back early and thought to myself
'If the next few years are going to be full up with music and bands then I may as well start up my old YouTube channel.'

So I did and the first of hopefully many covers is Dave Days own version of 'Down' Originally by Jay Sean. I'm not a fan of the original but I LOVE what Dave Days has done with it so I thought I'd learn it.

A Bit Of Motavation For Me, And You I Guess

Heyy everyone,

Well today was boring, still getting away with wearing my own clothes instead of this stupid dress code we have at our school. We're in year 12 and we STILL have to come to school in what the teachers say.

Apart from getting a little pissed off at the school as many people do I started to think about my college interview that should be coming up soon 'If I ever hear from them again' So the past few days I've been thinking about songs that I can learn that show off my capabilities and also have a lot of techniques and 1 that caught my attention was a song that I attempted not so long back 'and inevitably failed at'.

Trashed and Scattered by U.S. rockers Avenged Sevenfold (Possibly the greatest band ever and 1 of my all time favorites). As soon as I started learning the fast paced intro all of my fears came back but I pressed on redoing sections over and over again until they were stuck in my head never to escape. After completing half of the song I started to feel a lot more confident not just with the song but with my playing in general and as I soldiered on the song just seemed to get easier to play and more enjoyable.

I guess what I'm trying to get at with this short post is that when you put your mind to it and you ACTUALLY try your very best you can achieve more than you first thought. Also DON'T worry about feeling a bit selfish when you're trying to get IMPORTANT things done, whoever said other people come first is WRONG (Just think about that last bit before jumping to conclusions OK)

Who Is - Mike Relm

Heyy everyone,

Sticking with what I said yesterday I would like to make ANOTHER little segment for MONDAYS. This will be in the style of the current 'Viral Friday' but what I would like to do with this new part is do an 'Introducing' segment where EVERY MONDAY I'll be going through YouTube and other sites looking for NEW TALENT and stuff I think the majority of you will like.
SO starting off this new topic:

MIKE RELM

Mike Relm (Real name Michael Wong) is best known for being part of the phenomenon of VJs, like a DJ but with video instead and has made audio/video mash-ups of movies as well as viral hits playing them live to an audience or by uploading what he's created to his YouTube profile. He has worked with many notable hip-hop artists  Lyrics Born, Money Mark, Gift of Gab, Del tha Funkee Homosapien, and D-Sharp. Since winning the International Turntablist Federation's USA competition he has toured with Mike Patton's 'Peeping Tom' project. Over the past few years he has performed at a number of live concerts such as the 2010 Winter Olympics and Coachella.

Here are just a few videos currently up on his YouTube site to give you a taste of what he does.

Study Leave

Heyy everyone,

It's another Sunday today (Who would have guessed it) but there's something different about today and no it's not the fact that we're all still alive because lets face it who thought the world would end, seriously. No today is different for me because it's the second week of Study Leave and I'm loving it mainly because for the next few weeks everyone else will be studying hard for their exams and I will be playing guitar (And learning music theory as well). All of my exams were last week so I'm still on study leave for no reason only so sit back and learn as much as I possibly can for my interview with Lincoln College.

I'm also going to use this 'extra' free time to sort out stuff in my life, one of the things is THIS BLOG because this (Believe it or not) is my 86th post and I still don't really have a MAIN TOPIC for it apart from big things that happen concerning me (PSN going down, The end of the world, stuff like that) as well as Viral Friday.

One of the things that I want to change about this setup at the moment is that I want to make this more MEDIA BASED like a friend of mine Xclarabelle's blog who has regular video/drawing of the week  posts.
